AEEE is a national-level computer-based entrance examination for admission to B.Tech programmes at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. The 2.5-hour test is in English and covers Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Quantitative Aptitude in multiple-choice format. Candidates can also seek B.Tech admission through their JEE Main percentile, and can use both routes. Seats are allotted through the Centralised Seat Allotment Process (CSAP) based on AEEE rank or JEE Main percentile. The 2027 cycle is announced for 15 April to 7 May 2027, with applications opening in November 2026.

The pattern, eligibility, fee and counselling details on the site are labelled AEEE 2026. Treat them as the last published cycle until the 2027 notification is released. Note that amrita.edu/admissions still shows 'Applications Open for AEEE 2026'.

AEEE 2027 fees are not announced. For AEEE 2026 the handbook states that the application fee, once paid, is not refunded under any circumstances. A separate CSAP counselling fee of Rs 5,000 applies later. A list of documents to upload was not found on the pages opened.

Amrita offers Engineering Entrance Practice Tests for AEEE and JEE aspirants, with questions based on previous-year papers. The page says the engineering test is held online every Sunday at 4 pm, and students log in to the practice test portal to attempt it. Some other dates on that page are from 2023, so confirm the current schedule there.

• Mathematics (40 questions): it has the largest share, so give it the most practice time and aim for speed and accuracy.
• Physics (25 questions): learn core concepts and formulas, and practise numericals within a time limit.
• Chemistry (20 questions): revise NCERT thoroughly across physical, organic and inorganic chemistry.
• Quantitative Aptitude (10 questions) and English (5 questions): short sections, so practise them in a few timed sets each week.
• With a penalty of 1 mark for each wrong answer, avoid random guessing.

Dates for slot booking in AEEE 2027 are not announced yet. For Phase 2, candidates receive notifications about slot booking after Phase 1 is completed.

• The counselling fee is refundable only if none of your preferred branches is allotted until the end of CSAP.
• There is no management quota. Admissions are in the scholarship category, based on AEEE or JEE performance. There is no non-scholarship category.
• More than 70% of seats are earmarked as scholarship seats, and seats are earmarked separately for AEEE and JEE candidates. An exact AEEE versus JEE Main split is not stated.
• There is no lateral entry for diploma holders into the B.Tech programme.

Dates for CSAP in the 2027 cycle are not announced. The site says CSAP for the 2026 cycle was to be held in May 2026.

Cut-off ranks are not published for the current cycle yet. The official FAQ says there is no cutoff system for AEEE or JEE; seat allocation depends on ranks, the number of applications and applicants' preferences, which vary each year, and all applicants with scores can register for CSAP.

A Marks vs Percentile section will be added when the university publishes the data.

B.Tech admission through AEEE is offered at 8 Amrita engineering campuses: Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Haridwar and Nagercoil. Branches shown on the AEEE site include Computer Science and Engineering, CSE (Quantum Computing), Electronics and Communication Engineering, CSE (Artificial Intelligence), Computer and Communication Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Availability differs by campus.
