CS Professional

• CS Professional December 2026 registration (both groups) was ongoing with last date May 31, 2026 for the registration phase
• CS Professional June 2026 result was declared around Aug 25, 2026 (11 AM release slot, per ICSI's results announcement), alongside the Group 1 & 2 pass percentage and toppers' list

• 9 papers organised into 3 modules under ICSI's CS Professional syllabus (introduced under the 2022 syllabus, first examined June 2024), covering advanced-level company law and secretarial practice, corporate governance, compliance management, valuation and insolvency, drafting/appearances/pleadings, and an elective subject chosen by the candidate
• Full paper-wise details and study material are published by ICAI/ICSI on icsi.edu

• ICSI's own official study material and previous years' question papers for each of the 9 papers are the primary preparation resource, given the fully descriptive nature of the exam
• Candidates are advised to focus on structured, exam-format answer-writing practice and to stay current with recent amendments in company law, securities law and taxation, which are frequently tested at this advanced level

1. 1No centralised counselling -- CS Professional is the terminal academic examination of the CS course administered entirely by ICSI
2. 2Candidates who clear all modules and complete ICSI's other membership requirements (training, etc.) become eligible to apply for enrollment as an Associate Member (ACS) of ICSI and use the Company Secretary designation

• Passing criteria (not a competitive rank cutoff): for all modules together, minimum 40% in each paper and 40% aggregate (if passed under the old syllabus rules) is required
• For a single module, minimum 40% in each paper and 50% aggregate for that module to be declared pass
• A candidate scoring at least 60% in the remaining papers of a module despite failing one subject may still be declared pass with a minimum 50% aggregate under ICSI's special provision

• Not applicable in the traditional college-admission sense -- CS Professional is ICSI's own national-level examination administered centrally (58 test cities in India)
• It is the final academic stage before a candidate is eligible to apply for ICSI membership as a Company Secretary
• On completion, the CS qualification is recognised by the UGC as equivalent to a postgraduate degree
